The deputy director (administration) of the education engineering department, Asaduzzaman told that there are 1,265 posts. Six lakh six thousand applicants applied for these posts. After passing the written exam, a proportion of five passers have to attend the oral exam. The meeting of the recruitment committee will be in the first week of July. In this case, there will be more than one board. As a result, the officials of EED have to complete the recruitment activities promptly.
He also added that there are no plans to postpone the test because of the pandemic. If the situation is too bad, they will take action accordingly. He said the board would take the oral exam of the selected candidates who have passed the written test. The written test is in the form of MCQ. Participants have to follow the rules to attend the exam.

Earlier in April this year, the Education Engineering Department under the Ministry of Education suspended four recruitment examinations due to coronavirus restrictions. Deputy Director (Administration) and Divisional Promotion and Selection Committee Member Secretary Asaduzzaman signed the decision in a letter.
The department had distributed admission cards among the applicants for this examination. The total number of posts is 47. There are posts of Accountants, Shorthand Computer Operators, Computer Operators, High-Quality Assistants, and Short Typist Computer Operators. For all the job posts, a total quantity of One lakh fourteen thousand one hundred and eighty-one applications have been collected.
There is a lot of unemployment crisis present in Bangladesh. To lessen the rate, this is a huge opportunity. An officer of the Education Engineering Department said that the Department of Education Engineering (EED) took the initiative to expedite the recruitment process to overcome the acute candidate crisis. There is a vacancy of Eighty-five percent of second-class posts. Three hundred and ninety-nine seats are vacant against 678 seats of Assistant Engineer (Civil). Although there are 634 second-class posts, only 304 of them are working.
