The Beatles: Get Back is a song written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon–McCartney), and released as a single on 11 May 1970, having been recorded during the Beatles’ Let It Be sessions. The song was later included on the album Let It Be (1970). Though McCartney originally conceived “Get Back” as an upbeat, country-styled composition, the Beatles revamped it as a rocker with an R&B flavor. The revised song was not released until 1996, as part of the Anthology 3 compilation.
